TandemMoulds

T/Mould Technology in a Nutshell

  • utilized cooling time (dead time)
  • increased output of up to 100 % compared to a standard tool
  • production capacity of one machine drastically increased
  • optimisation of each parting level individually
  • can be employed in almost any injection moulding machine
  • improved quality due to extended cooling times
  • reduction in production costs of up to 40 %
  • highly flexible
  • patented brand product

TandemMoulds have two parting levels, which alternately open.

While the machine opens for to demould one level, the other level is reliably hold together by an ingenious locking system.

The locking system (CLS = Compact Locking System), recessed into the mould, needs merely room and is hydraulically or pneumatically controlled.

Proximity switches monitor the position of the locking unit for controlling, feedback and security reasons.

For TandemMoulds you need just standard injection moulding machines with a slight software adjustment.

When purchasing a new injection moulding machine, please let install software for the T/Mould process instantly. (Attention: the T/Mould Technology needs at least two core pulls  – or one pneumatic core pull for the locking unit)

Your Advantages

You reduce the production costs by up to 40 % !

This you achieve by almost doubling tool output and considerably reduced machine costs by eliminating the necessity for a second injection moulding machine for the comparable production volume.

The reduced tool changeover times also make way for considerable savings.

You increase the output capacity of your machines !

You can easily compete with bigger machineries and increase your competitiveness.

The smaller injection moulding machine provides the same output capacity as comparable multi-tools.

Smaller machines - bigger output !

For example: company X offers a part, double, on a 800 t injection moulding machine. You can produce the same with a TandemMould on a smaller, 400 t machine and in addition to that: cheaper !

Moreover this is a special advantage for right/left-parts !

Differing part geometric configurations can be perfectly optimised, because after start up, metering and quality parameters can be adjusted and reset individually for each parting level.

Tool costs are only approx. 10 % higher than those of standard tools based on the same part output performance.

Where to use TandemMoulds

All parts can be manufactured with TandemMoulds because TandemMoulds can be seen as a combination of two standard moulds.

It is viable for use in tools requiring a clamping force over 35 t.

TandemMoulds can be employed in almost any standard injection moulding machine after a software update.

Background

CLS 2-4

The T/Mould Technology for the first time uses efficiently the cooling times (dead times) of the machine.

The required clamping force in this period is maximum 20 %, and can be easily achieved by the locking system.

With thick-walled, slow-running processes - i. e. long cooling-times - you achieve the double output. But even with high-speed applications you obtain enormous advantages: The increase of output can still be 30 %, and additionally (!) you improve the quality of the parts by extended cooling times.
